The Van Cleve Seafood Co.—a company that touts the health and environmental benefits of its wild-caught fish products and “clean” ingredients—is stepping into the plant-based industry with its first vegan product: a soy-free shrimp made primarily from konjac.

Van Cleve海产食品公司──吹捧其野生捕捞鱼类产品和“清洁”材料的健康及环境益处──亦正在向植物性产业进军,首先推出的纯素产品是:主要由魔芋材料制成的不含大豆的纯素虾。

The brand’s new Wild.Skinny.Clean line consists mostly of frozen entrées made with fish but includes two fish-free options—a non-vegan Plant-Based Crab-less Cake (which contains honey) and vegan Plant-Based Shrimp.

该品牌公司新的Wild.Skinny.Clean产品系列主要包含由鱼类制作的冷冻主菜,但也有两种无鱼产品供消费者选择──用植物材料制作的非纯素的无蟹饼(含有蜂蜜)和纯素的虾。

“We see the (plant-based) trend turning into more of a movement and wanted to create something to satisfy everybody,” Shelly Van Cleve, the company’s co-owner and Vice President of Product Development, said. “Since we know seafood so well, who better than us to create the plant-based alternatives that taste just like the real thing?”

Van Cleve’s new plant-based shrimp will be available online through the company website this month and will debut in retail outlets in early 2020.
